The parallel has the same effect as a conjunction, and if it occurs at the same time as the conjunction it makes it much stronger. Often, it occurs before (or after) the conjunction, as if it were foreshadowing things to come (or lingering afterwards). Just as the parallel is hidden from viewing the sky, the effect may be unconscious, but nonetheless powerful. In this case, it indicates a strong emphasis on feelings and establishing security. We may want to protect our feelings by hiding away or spending time only with trusted friends and family. Women may have a strong supportive influence at this time. Look to the sign, house, decan and aspects of the Moon for indications of how and where the effect of this aspect will be most noticeable.
