This article seems kind of... odd, because the very first word in it links to an article that I already set up a while ago that says the exact same thing. Who wrote this anyways? Is this really necessary? --Chris Brennan 21:37, August 24, 2005 (PDT)
- I wrote it, as you can see by looking at the History tab. Whenever you want to see an author view the history tab.
- The examples given in the first paragraph were actually borrowed from the Wikipedia article (listed under References). Maybe you used the same reference article or maybe it is just a coincidence. This article is a stub page, so it is just listing some simple points temporarily until someone gets around to writing the article.
- Yes, this article is necessary (although not in its current form). This article is in the interpretations section. The objective is not to define what electional astrology is (that is why there is a link to your article on the page). Unlike articles elsewhere which define a process or technique, articles in the interpretations section give details or suggestions on how to actually use a technique such as electional astrology. In contrast, the purpose of your article is largely to define it in as objective a manner as possible. Interpretations are by nature not objective, hence the separate section. An example is the difference between Horary astrology and Horary. In short, the purpose of an article in the astrology category (or history category, etc.) is to define. The purpose of an article in the interpretations section is to give actual step by step instructions on how to do it.
- As I said above, its a stub article. If you want to change it, go ahead. But please do not delete it or obsruct the purpose of the page, which is to provide a detailed explanation on how to do elections.

Cool. I just gave it a cursory clance and saw the ISP on the recent changes, and didn't check the history list for the original author, because I assumed it was new for some reason. I saw a new book that was just realeased at the conference titled 'Electional Astrology' by someone I had never heard of. That might be a good avenue of research for this topic, yeah? Doesn't seem to be much material on it in contemporary sources. --Chris Brennan 22:14, August 24, 2005 (PDT)
