Common Interpretation

The house of the Sun represents where we are most able to "shine" and where we long to assert ourselves in some outstanding fashion. A fifth house Sun is dramatic, creative, playful and romantic. We enjoy being the center of attention, and may "put on a show" around children or the opposite sex. We have a great desire to express our creativity and might become artists or actors. Since there is such a need for fun and excitement, we may seem to be "on" too much to others, or may become bored easily. Although we are warm and expressive, our creative pursuits can easily take priority over the people and things that may have inspired that creativity. On the dark side, there is a danger we may use our charisma to mesmerize others and get them to "worship" us. Most of the time, however, we are just playing. Like Peter Pan or Tigger the Tiger, we are irrepressibly buoyant as we go about our lives refusing to ever grow up.
