John Patridge (1644-1715)
  • English astrologer who adopted the Placidus method of house division despite the fact that no one else used it.
  • Wrote two books using the Placidus method, which showed what a superior system it was.
  • His books eventually influenced other astrologers to use the Placidus method, and he is credited with the ‘final switchover’.
