Johann Mueller (1436-1476)
  • Known as Regiomontanus
  • Made Ptolemy’s Almagest accessible to Renaissance Europe by publishing the Epitome of the Almagest.
  • His main contribution to astrology was to publish a set of house and auxiliary tables, which became very popular with astrologers, and stayed that way until the Placidus system of house division caught on in later centuries.
