AstrologyNotes is a community of people all working together to build a complete and accurate compendium of astrological knowledge. If we can't work together in peace and efficiency, it all falls apart. Therefore, it is essential to keep communicating with each other.
Means of communication
- Talk pages - all discussions about a specific article, template or category should take place on that article's talk page.
- Member forum - for issues not related to a specific article or category.
- Mailing list - another way to keep in touch
- Private discussions - you can also contact AstrologyNotes members directly by posting to their talk pages. If they have their preferences set to do so, they will be notified via email that they have a message. You can get to a user's talk page by clicking on the link to their name which takes you to their AstrologyNotes user page, then click "discussion". To email another user directly use Special:Emailuser/Username where Username is replaced with the person you want to email.
- Discuss issues not related to specific articles on the forums or mailing list
Guidelines on Collaboration
- All discussions about a specific article, template or category should take place on that article's talk page. You can bring up the talk page by hitting the "discussion" tab. To start a new topic press the "+" next to the edit tab. To add to an existing topic simply indent or create a horizontal line by using the line button on the edit bar.
- Contact individual members by posting to their talk pages. If they have their preferences set to do so, they will be notified via email that they have a message. You can get to a user's talk page by clicking on the link to their name which takes you to their AstrologyNotes user page, then click "discussion".
- You can also send a direct email to another user that masks your email address (however the other member must have a confirmed email address and preferences set to accept mail). To do this you need to go to special page Special:Emailuser/Username where Username is replaced with the person you want to email.
- You can find the specific talk pages for a namespace (such as article or category talk pages) by going to Special:Allpages and choosing the appropriate namespace. You can do the same thing with recent changes.
- Discuss issues not related to specific articles on the forums or mailing list
- Subscribe to our announcement list to stay informed of major changes or events (it is not necessary to subscribe to both mailing lists)
- Post new article and project suggestions in the forums.
