Grady Stiles Junior was an extraordinary person. He was born with a genetic abnormality of the extrodactyly gene, which caused him to be born with both hands fused together to form claws. In addition, his legs were truncated below each knee to form claw-like appendages instead of lower legs and feet.

Needless to say, Grady had a very difficult early life because people who were too ignorant to know any better would stare at him and make fun of him. As a result, he became toughened to the world and learned how to be independent despite his disability. In order to earn a living, Grady Stiles Junior worked the carnival with his father, Grady Stiles Senior, who had normal legs and deformed arms.

Grady went on to marry and have children of his own, but he was not a kind husband and father. He abused his wife and children, murdered his daughter’s fiancé, and in turn we as murdered by a hit man who had been hired by his own wife. The things that seem to resound in the life of Grady Stiles Junior were his handicap (ruled by Pluto and Scorpio), deformity (ruled by Neptune and Pisces), genetics (ruled by Cancer and the Moon), murder (ruled by Pluto and Scorpio) and alcoholism (ruled by Neptune and Pisces). The three signs have the greatest significance are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces: in modern astrology relate to the element of water. With this in mind, it appears that Grady was a modern soul who had to learn modern lessons in this life. It appears he was not a highly evolved soul, but the laws of the universe will ensure he gets many opportunities to work on those lessons he was unable to master in his life. The law of karma was clearly working in his life because he murdered a 17-year-old man in 1978 and in 1992 he was killed by a 17-year-old man. It seems that history reversed.

Grady’s Sun was posited in the sign of Cancer, which reveals his many leadership qualities, thereby predisposing him to wanting his own carnival. The fire in his character unfortunately predisposed him to hostility, which resulted in him showing violence towards his wife and children. The Sun was conjunct Pluto, which reaffirms his rather abusive personality. Grady could very well have used his disabilities to transcend the physicalities of this Earth and become a more spiritual being, but instead he decided to become a bully as a way to show the world that he was just as good as any able bodied man. The Sun forms an opposition to Jupiter, which indicates he had difficulties exercising good judgement. While he was destined to make money through business, at heart he yearned to be a family man, hence the reason for him wanting to own and operate his own carnival. The fire in his character unfortunately predisposed him to hostility, which resulted in him showing violence towards his wife. The Sun was conjunct Pluto, which reaffirms his rather abusive personality. The Sun forms an opposition to Jupiter, which indicates he had difficulties exercising good judgement. While he was destined to make money through business, at heart he yearned to be a family man, hence the reason for him wanting so many children even when he knew that he was passing his genetic defect onto them.

Grady’s Mercury was posited in the sign of Leo, which reveals he tended to think on a grand scale. He tended to talk big, perhaps to compensate for his own physical inadequacies. Mercury forms a trine to Saturn, which indicates he had a deep sense of responsibility towards others, particularly towards those he loved. He had a deep desire to propagate the Earth with his own offspring, even though he knew very well that he was putting any children he may have a risk of inheriting the genetic deformity that had been passed on to him. In fact, only one of his seven children was born normal, the rest inherited the defective extrodactyly gene. This sense of responsibility meant that he had a desire to provide for his children and keep them close to them, and is also evidenced by the fact that he was generous when buying them gifts. Mercury formed a square to Uranus, which reveals he was often changeable in his thinking processes. He was in all probability quite prone to making promises he could not or would not keep. Uranus rules divorce, and he divorced his wife, Mary Teresa Stiles, on the spur of he moment, taking her children from her in the process. Mercury formed a conjunction to Pluto, revealing the dark side of his rational thinking patterns. Pluto rules abuse, so its influence played a rather malefic influence on his ability to think and reason rationally. He often threatened his wife, telling her that he was going to kill her, so he certainly did not endear himself to her with his many threats and verbal slurs.

Grady’s Venus was posited in the sign of Gemini, which reveals that in love, he could be quite fickle, hence the reason he threw his wife out of the house and divorced her for no apparent reason. He could become quite bored in matters of love and would have had numerous affairs if the opportunity had presented itself. Possibly because he was not in a position to have extensive affairs is one of the reasons why he treated his wife so badly. The negative aspect of Gemini is the fact that it can be very cruel, and Grady must have decided to express such nastiness within his personal relationships. Venus forms a square to Neptune, which reveals Grady had a desire to go out and make money through his work. Being so severely disabled, he was limited in what he could do, and therefore decided to join, and then later run, his own carnival. The negative influences of this aspect were Grady’s chronic alcohol abuse. Unfortunately, when he was drinking, the dark side of his personality would begin to manifest itself, and it was during these times that he would abuse and batter his wife. Venus forms an opposition to his North Node, and this reveals that Grady often felt his personal relationships were dragging him down. In the world of the carnival, the performers had a higher status than the general workers, so Grady, in his arrogance, would not romance Teresa until she was allowed to take on some performing work. The reality of the situation was that Grady should have been grateful for any date he got, but he did not see it that way at all. He believed that women should be grateful to be with them, and treated them accordingly.

Mars is in its home sign of Scorpio, which indicates this planet works with the greatest ease. He therefore was in touch with his natural aggressive instincts, but used them in a cruel and disturbed way. There were also incidents of sexual abuse, where he was said to have tried to pull out his wife’s IUD on at least one occasion. He also had a high sex drive and urge to propagate, as evidenced by his two marriages and numerous children. Mars forms an opposition to Uranus, indicating he was often quite changeable, especially with regard to how he used his energy. He could change his mood quite suddenly, especially when he was drinking, which would have the effect of putting everybody on his or her guard against him. Mars forms a sextile to Jupiter, which shows unequivocally that Grady had an opportunity to profit from his own misfortune. Working in the carnival was one way he could work and earn money even though he was disabled.

Jupiter is posited in the sign of Capricorn, which reveals Grady would have a great deal of responsibility in his life, such as providing for his children and working in the carnival. Jupiter forming a sextile to Neptune indicates it was easy for Grady to use the art of illusion to help him in business. He knew people are intrigued by those individuals who are different, and used that knowledge to work and earn an income. The dark side of this aspect points to the alcoholism, which is what Grady became after years of chronic alcohol abuse. Jupiter forms an opposition to Pluto, indicating Grady would work with his family in the business and would in turn draw his own family into his business.

Uranus is posited in the sign of Taurus, thus revealing Grady was quite changeable with regard to his personal possessions. Because he was on the road a great deal, he no doubt would have changed his money and material possessions quite often. Grady would inevitably have to make some important choices with regard to his money and property, which would affect his spouse and family. Uranus forms a trine to Neptune, which shows he would have the opportunity to work and earn an income through his own oddities. He worked on the art of illusion and quite often withheld the truth from others to help him achieve his goals. Uranus forms a quincunx to the North Node, which reveals Grady had a deep desire to travel, but he would invariably need to make some adjustments, especially with regard to his disability. If circumstances had been different, Grady would have enjoyed studying and becoming more academically aware, but his disability and desire to earn money meant he would work through this aspect through travel.

Neptune is posited in the sign of Libra, which reveals depression, alcoholism and overindulgence are prominent health problems Grady had to face in his life. Although he worked in the carnival, such employment prospects were not his first choice, but merely what he felt he had to do in order to make money. If Grady had been able bodied, he very well would have selected an entirely different vocation. Neptune forms a square to his North Node and indicates he had a need to travel through his work, but this was something he would not necessarily have been inclined to do. It anything, being on the road had the effect of exacerbating some of his health problems because, while travelling, he had a completely different perspective of life.

Pluto is posited in the sign of Cancer, revealing Grady’s family life would go through extremes. His father had a genetic deformity, which he passed on to Grady, and Grady passed on to his own children. While he was no doubt sneered at by people who were ignorant of his medical condition, he may very well have been abused as well because it is quite common for handicapped children to be abused. Grady would then go on to abuse his own children. Perhaps in his mind, abuse was the only way that he could show love. Pluto in Cancer would prevail, it seems, because he continuously threatened to kill his family, but it was his own family who had him killed.
