Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)
- Astronomer/astrologer who pioneered the use of the telescope, and further propagated the Heliocentric Copernican system.
- Discovered that Jupiter had moons and that the Earth’s moon has mountains.
- His contribution to astrology is negligible, but his stance on the subject is clearly in favor. Several hand drawn charts that Galileo made and interpreted still survive and in one of his private books there have been found drawings of his children’s natal charts and even two drawings of his own chart.
