In the field of astrology a benefic planet is considered to be very positive influences. Traditionally, Jupiter is considered to be the Greater Benefic, while Venus has been assigned the position of the Lesser Benefic, and the Sun, Moon and Mercury are considered to be moderately fortunate in their influences.
