Animodar is a method of chart rectification pioneered by Claudius Ptolemy. The method is based upon of the degree of the previous lunation. If the chart is preceded by a New Moon, the astrologer considers which planet has the most essential dignity at the degree of the new Moon. If there were a full Moon, it considers which planet had the most essential dignity in the degree of the full Moon.
