Aldebaran (Alpha Tauri), the name in Arabic means "the Follower", is part of the constellation Taurus, marking the Bull's eye. It is one of the four Royal Stars or "four Guardians of Heaven" or "Archangel stars". Aldebaran is the Archangel Michael and watcher of the East. It is a class K star of the first magnitude and is the 13th brightest star in the heavens.
This star is also known as Facula, the little torch.
