My husband's chart has transiting pluto conjunct his sun/moon midpoint since January of this year. His sun/moon midpoint is 4 capricorn 37, and this sun/moon midpoint would be conjunct his natal Jupiter (0 cap 34) in the 3rd house. Jupiter rules the 3rd house. Can anyone elaborate on what that could mean? Right now transiting Jup/Saturn/Uranus are all squaring that same point. Just wondering if this is significant? His birth data is 10/29/60, 6:04AM EDT, Norristown, PA. Nothing seems to be going on that would be earth shattering, although his Father is very sick. Should we play the lottery? Sure could use something good right now. Any insight would be wonderful. Thanks in advance.

I think with sun/moon midpoints the orb is very tight for conjunctions with only one or two degrees allowed so jupiter probably wouldn't be considered conjunct in his chart. I think this midpoint is where his masculine side meets his feminine side and pluto is about transformation so maybe events in his life are getting him to assess his inner emotional needs and what his life is about and where it is going. This midpoint can also be about relationship because of this masculine and feminine aspect so maybe it has to do with assessing relationships in his life. When jupiter hits this point it maybe about expanding his life to fit more with his sun and moon needs and uranus may give him a jolt if his life isn't in keeping with what his sun and moon needs. Saturn may lead him to better structure his life so that his emotional and physical needs are better represented. I think his dad being sick maybe getting him to think more about his life so maybe that is pluto at work there. I'm not sure what astrological aspects lead to lottery wins but maybe you should see if it is jupiter on the sun/moon midpoint that does the trick to win!

Thank you Curious for your reply. I didn't realize the midpoints had a closer orb. I appreciate your response.

Hi Rpugliese,

There was a lunar eclipse at on June 26 at 04Cap46. So, there is a strong influence of separation concerning the Sun/Moon midpoint. It could mean the end of a relationship or the resolution of some internal conflict. If his father is sick, this could be the resolution of some internal conflict represented by his anima and animus or mother/father figure. It could be mostly internal. However, I don't think the influence of lunar eclipses last more than about 3 months, so the event should be passing. Orbs should be within 1 degree for transits to a midpoint. Jupiter was at its closes aspect on the 24 of July when it went stationary retrograde, so any such effect would have been most noticeable then. Plus, it never completed the square which some astrologers might interpret as getting close to an event but never having it happen. Uranus and Saturn are not square as they are at zero point. It might all refer to a crisis (internal or external) perhaps precipitated by his father's illness (bringing in old perceived conflicts between mother/father, woman/man, wife/husband, etc.) but which is probably already retreating. Jupiter in Aries may have been a warrior angel in this regard, fighting off the death and transformation of Pluto with some increased vigor and optimism. Whatever the crisis was, he was "saved" through it by fiery Jupiter and now the "nothing much is happening" might be the blessed results of a crisis overcome.

All the best,

I forgot to mention, Saturn WILL be coming up to a square with Pluto near the end of this month, but it will be a two degree orb to your husband's midpoint and the eclipse point. I am not sure if this is a powerful enough transit to have an effect. Sometimes it seems if a close transit already happened, then a later aspect that is weaker might actually trigger it again. Something might happen with these issues around August 22. Let us know if you have anything to report about it later.

All the best,

Thanks for that last comment Staralchemist. I was thinking that his Father went into the hospital on the 21st of July and remained there thru July 31st, during that eclipse. He's home now and not doing that much better. I'll let you know what transpires on the 22nd of August or around that time. It may be more of the same, or maybe his Father will start to get better - turn the corner at that time. I know that Saturn rules my husband's IC, so that may have some correlation. Thanks again.

That sounds like a difficult time! The Sun/Pluto effect can also be seen in the houses that Leo rules in the chart, and the house that the sun resides in. Also, check to see if the ruler of your 5th house (children) was aspecting sun/pluto at the time.

WOW how right you are .. Natal Mars [ in Aries in 4th ] was square the sun / moon mid -point .
This is wacky because I married my abusive husband when my progressed sun was conjunct my natal Mars in Aries in 4th . Then when Pluto was sqaure my natal Mars the relationship ended ... although it was a very traumatic time I was much better off in the long run .. stress wise ;)
