Pluto transiting through Capricorn has been back and forth squaring your friend's Chiron/Venus/Mercury conjunction in Aries. Venus conjunct ChiIron show that relationships are a painful issue for this person. Your friend struggles with . Natal Uranus in late Virgo is actually opposite her sensitive Chiron/Venus conjunction. IN the 12th house, these feelings are not understood, and they are hidden. This was set off more while Pluto was retrograde, and then while it was direct at zero Capricorn again. But I believe that Saturn entering Libra opposite that Chiron (and Venus) is what caused your freind to back off. If you watch the planets, there will be more of this back and forth as Saturn retrogrades back into Virgo next year, and then goes back direct into Libra in the summer. However, in the meantime Pluto squares the conjunction including Mercury more fully, bringing all kinds of feelings and quesitons out. It won't be easy. And in May, Uranus moves over this Venus and Chiron conjunction, bringing unexpected reactions and expressions in the area of relationship.Jupiter follows in June, and this person may begin to experience some kind of healing around this entire relationship issue, and an opening of unconscious feelings and desires.

Uranus and Jutpier will both return to this position in 2011, but I believe that each time they do, they will open this person's heart more, whereas Saturn has tried to shut it down and be "proper". I could be wrong, and I wouldn't bet my current relationship on it if I were you. But just sit back and watch for now. I don't have time to look at your husband's chart at the moment, but his chart may reflect some of the same activity in a different way. I believe the hard aspects were to his Mercury in Aries, but more soft aspects such as trines and sextiles to his AC and DC, so although he may be mentally moved out of his complacency, and although Saturn and Pluto (And later Uranus) may be hard on his psyche, the relationship shift may be accepted by the time it happens.

Hi Sherrye-
Thanks so much for looking these over for me. I wanted to ask, on astro.com which charts should I be looking at to follow the planets? I always get confused. There is the transits, progessions, etc. Just trying to figure out how and what to follow. What planets should stand out more than others? Like I have stated I have gotten pretty good at what I call stationary astrology. I can look at basic charts and know (even if not well described) the basic type of person but charts in movement befuddle me. Synastry charts I am getting down better but composites confuse me. I search on here from time to time and compare answers given to my own chart so I am getting better. :/ I just love when something makes no sense and all the sudden you look at a chart and pow like a lightbulb it comes together. I think I know just enough now to be dangerous. :/ Thanks again and look forward to hearing from you.

Find an ephemeris online (such as at Astrodienst) or buy an ephemeris to follow, and watch mostly the outer (impersonal) planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto )for major events. Mars is often the trigger by transit. The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus (Inner, personal) will enhance larger events, or represent more everyday events on their own. Also, the larger events in your life will show transits from the Outer or impersonal planets to the Inner and personal ones.

I don't use progressions or solar returns much expcet to enhance aspects I find my transit. I am a big believer in transits being the best indicators of events and situations. This is because for decades before people had home computers, I was flipping through my old American and Swiss Ephemerides until they actually fell apart. I learned from checking the past as well as the future. The best way to learn how transits work is to check the past events in your life and look at the transits.

You also begin to have a sense of how quickly or slowly planets move, and where they were for certain generations of people. It helps you learn to look for significant transits.

For example, I was reading for a woman once and knew that she was born under Pluto in Leo. Her Moon was also in Leo in the latter degrees. She told me that when she was young her mother developed a brain tumor and died. I told her that this probably occurred while Pluto was moving over her Moon by transit. I asked her for the date this happened so that I could look it up in my ephemeris. I looked it up so I could show her, and there it was. Pluto had been on and off conjunct her Moon by transit during that period. So I knew what to look for because of my familiarity with how slowly Pluto moves, and where it would be in relation to her Moon as a child.

Hope that helps!
