In general, can positive transits sometimes outweigh or make difficult transits bearable?

Uranus is squaring my venus and will square it for another year and a half or so... I am getting beyond frustrated... I almost can't get through my head that there is absolutely NO HOPE for me until 2011!!??!!

I'm also talking to someone new right now and while it has its complications, it seems promising... and I can see myself with this person in the long term but then I keep thinking "I have that uranus squaring my venus, this must be just another heartbreak" and it really frustrates me that it feels like its written in stone and there's nothing I can do...

any suggestions from a perspective point of view... has anyone ever been frustrated with a transit?

I remember when uranus was on my uranus and saturn was on my descendant and at the same time, the transiting north node was was conjunct my south node and out of that came a sudden relationship that lasted for 2 years. It was a very complicated relationship as her family had serious problems like incest and she was bi-polar so that was a hard two years of my life. I don't know which one had actually triggered the relationship and what triggered subsequent events.

I think with uranus things suddenly happen and what your describing is happening slowly. My relationship took off really quickly so probably the work of uranus. I would say that when uranus does its work you will notice how quickly it all happens and supported by whatever else is happening in your chart. I think that without saturn on the descendant the relationship might have been a very quick relationship and made it more permanent in my case.

Thank you two so much for writing...

@ScorpioMidheaven-- I've had a similar experience since Uranus entered Pisces in 2003... only thing is I definitely began feeling it since its first degrees in Pisces in spite of the fact that my sun and venus are at 25 degrees Gemini-- My long term relationship crumbled, there were friendships lost, I fell into a deep depression where I questioned everything and definitely brought out old childhood wounds to the surface and made my fair share of mistakes... the curious thing to me is that as the transit is entering its last year and a half (even though it is now that it has exactly squared my sun and venus and will square it again soon) its not now that I feel it the "worst" but rather now that I feel that I've learned what I needed to learn and am rebuilding what I destroyed... does that make sense?

@curious-- so even though Uranus influenced your relationship, the fact that Saturn was on the DC allowed it to be longer than it could have been otherwise under Uranus? In other words, it helped out?

This new person is an April 21 Taurus with lots of air and fire in his chart, but true to Taurus and because the situation is complicated right now, things are slow... but consistent... and I've had so many ppl come in and out of my life in the past six years that I've learned to be patient when something seems positive... I think two years ago I would have gotten bored at the pace, or even cynical... but at this point I appreciate it...

A quick note for you, Pensive...

Try to get the most out of the Jupiter transit trining your Mercury as it goes direct very soon, and make the most of Jupiter's trine to your Sun and Venus conjunction in December. Enjoy bringing out the hidden aspects of your nature, and try not to worry too much about Uranus. If you keep your focus on the good that can come out of a situation during those periods, it can definitely help.

Ultimately Uranus is so unpredictable that worrying about it is not the solution. Can it be a problematic or difficult transit? Of course it can. However, sometimes it surprises us and actually brings us what we need, or even what we desire.
